Bread tags don’t exactly fit my interests as a nature artist. However, I’m a member of a community that collects and categorizes bread tags as though they were biological specimens. The occlupanology movement brings attention to disposable plastics and encourages us to pay attention to the objects that can so easily become part of the background. This mug is a celebration of this hobby and a reminder to have the curiosity of a scientist in every aspect of life.
This mug is structurally sound, safe for hot and cold drinks, and can go in the dishwasher and microwave. The glaze didn’t come out how I wanted aesthetically, so I decided not to sell it at full price.
